HSDA Summer Ballet Camp: August 12th-16th, 2013
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, Now taking early enrollment!

#1 SUMMER DANCE INTENSIVE (intermediate & advanced ballet)
Designed to help dancers achieve their fullest capabilities, whatever their reason for dancing.
Technique: perfection of known steps, challenge of new & more difficult steps.
Conditioning: strength, flexibility, balance, endurance & coordination.
Lectures: dance history, theory, safety, injury prevention, & nutrition.
Modern/Lyrical: understanding the relationship of various dance forms.
Mini-performance following the intensive.
9:00AM to 2:00PM: $180 per person for the whole week.

#2 "Story-time" DANCE CAMP!
(Ages 5 to 8 years old) Designed to increase the appreciation of the art of dance while improving coordination, physical fitness, performance ability, classroom etiquette, self-esteem and discipline. The activities for the session will revolve around well-known story ballet themes.
9:30 to 11:30am for the week. $105 per person.

Over the years, HSDA students have moved up the ranks with us, then joined directly with numerous prestigious groups: Pittsburg Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Long Beach Ballet, Stuttgart Ballet, New York City Ballet, School of American Ballet/New York, San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet and Princeton Ballet. Many have also used our educational methodology and teacher training, and have gone on to become reputable teachers in their own right.
