This very special duo got together with their partners Monica Flores and Yesenia Peralta to show you their moves on1 and on2; Ismael being the million moves man from New York and Roc from Los Angeles.
Roc's dance journey began at the age of 8 when he competed for 3 years in Latin Dancing, but it wasn't until he moved to Cuba, Cienfuegos, at the age of 12 when Roc was first introduced to Salsa. He fell in love with the culture and five years later, after relocating to San Francisco, he started to teach, perform and compete professionally. After introducing the local Salsa community to his unusual choreography, and after bringing numerous international Salsa talents to the local scene, Roc the Dancer has relocated to Los Angeles where he currently resides. Monica Flores, a talented young salsera, winner of the prestigious Professional Conga Room Salsa Championship is best known for her work in advertising. She also teaches Salsa and resides in Los Angeles
Recognized as on of the hottest on2 choreographers of the East Coast, Ismael Otero is the founder and director of the legendary Caribbean Soul Dancers. Recipient of many awards including the prestigious New York Salsa Dance Award for Best Male Performer, he teaches all over the world and is known as one of the most humble and down to earth dancers in the Salsa Scene.
A former member of the Caribean Soul Dancers, Yesenia Peralta's energetic personaity is captivating both on and off the dance floor. Winner of many championships including the professional Sabado Gigante competition, Yesenia is best known for her dance role in the tv soap opera 'All my Children'. |
