Scott Wilson, a Chesapeake VA resident, created En Paso Dance Company in 2003 and has since ignited a passion for Salsa and Merengue in aspiring Latin dancers throughout the Tidewater Area of Virginia.

Scott is the most highly requested instructor in Chesapeake, VA and is known for providing fun, stylish, and easy to learn dance instruction. Scott has introduced over 200 beginning students to the joys of Salsa since opening his classes at the Lifestyle Center in 2003. He as well has been a feature dance instructor at the Cedar Creek Country Club in Suffolk VA.

Scott has trained with the world's best and brings a smooth blend of heat and energy to the dance floor. His passion for dancing is equaled only by his sincere desire to share the joy of latin dancing with those seeking beginner friendly dance instruction.

1. Salsa for Beginners (Fridays)

- Sign up begins in December
- Pricing: $50.00 for members; $65.00 for non-members. Each student receives a music CD for practice.

2. Intermediate Salsa (Fridays)
- 5 Jan
- 8:30pm - 9:30pm
- Taylor Bend YMCA, Chesapeake, VA. (4626 Taylor Road)
- Sign up begins in December at YMCA front desk or call 483-8300 to reserve your spot in class.
Pricing: South Hampton Roads YMCA Members: $50.00
Each student receives a music CD for practice.


Private Salsa lessons available on request. Please contact Scott at 535-3610 for details. Private lessons normally occur at Shall We Dance Studio in VA Beach. If prefer to have private lesson at home, will need an area of approximately 8 x 10 with hard flooring (hardwood, vinyl).

Q. What do you offer?
A. Beginner friendly instruction for singles and couples looking to learn and improve upon their social dancing skills. Classes are typically 1 hour long and include basic instruction on fundamentals, styling, and understanding the music. We also offer advance beginner and intermediate classes for those with a little more experience with Salsa or Merengue.


Q. Do I need a partner?
A. Not at all. During class, we rotate partners so whether you come with a partner or not, you will be paired up throughout the lesson.
