Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater created The Ailey Extension program to expand on the legacy of Alvin Ailey who believed that "dance comes from the people and should be delivered back to people." The Ailey Extension is a new program of dance and fitness classes designed for the general public. Afro Caribbean, Capoeira, OM yoga®, Horton, West African, Salsa, Lindy Hop/Swing, Pilates, Broadway Jazz, Samba, and Hip Hop classes are all taught by leading instructors in their respective techniques. Since its inception in April 2005, over 5,000 students of every age and level of ability have taken classes. Set your life in motion with The Ailey Extension!
